Stylish home designs for bigger country lots are in demand, and the GO Bush range by GO Homes now services an even wider area.

Speaking to New Homes, GO Homes Sales Manager Rhys Watters said the expansion was in response to feedback from clients who wanted to build with the backing of BGC, including all the warranties and security that entails.
“We found people were disappointed they couldn’t build the product they wanted to, with the company they wanted to,” he said.
“There’s definitely been a spike in enquiry from those areas, as people want to move a little bit more rural – and maybe get out of that rat race.”
Mr Watters said these country lifestyles are becoming more accessible, with increased densities moving out bush as a result of highway extensions and improvements in infrastructure.
“For example, we actually get a lot of people that commute to areas like Midland and Mundaring while still living in Northam and York,” he said.
Putting a modern twist on the traditional Australian country homestead, the eight GO Bush home designs are uniquely suited to larger rural and semi-rural blocks. The four and five-bedroom plans cater to families of all sizes – especially growing ones.
Sweeping wraparound verandas, generous living spaces, natural materials and elevations are some of the inclusions offered throughout.
Mudrooms, made possible by larger laundries, provide the perfect space for the kids to wash off the dirt that goes hand-in-hand with countryside living.
Compared to the restrictions often faced by inner-city lots, where you need to maximise your size on the block and the walls are pushing out the boundaries, building rural and semi-rural can be much simpler, said Mr Watters.
“You can have these grand houses that address the full width of the block,” he said.
“They’re quite cost-effective to build because they’ve got that scale and size.”
Popular current designs for larger families include the Magnolia, a massive five-bedroom two-bathroom home featuring seamless open living spaces, and the Eucalyptus; designed for growing families with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light.
Mr Watters said GO Homes are looking to expand their design range even further in the first quarter of 2020, to suit any and all prospective builders.
